Broadway World Spotlights PA Theatre’s Willy Wonka Jr.

The curtain closed on a vibrant and imaginative production of Willy Wonka Jr. at the Connor Performing Arts Center on November 1–2, receiving strong praise from reviewers for its creativity and energy.
Directed by six of our seniors—Akira Bell, Collin Carlton, Faith Chi, Addie Droste, Darby Haddock, and Addison Pierce—with faculty mentors Sheridan Posey and Drew Posey, the show brought to life Roald Dahl’s beloved story of Charlie Bucket’s golden ticket adventure.
Key performances stood out, including Eva Holleman as Willy Wonka and Natalie Escobar as Charlie Bucket, both commended for their balance of whimsy and emotion. The ensemble and technical teams were praised for their teamwork and imaginative staging—populated by Montessori-style props, vivid lighting, and vibrant costumes that transformed our stage into a world of candy, wonder, and humor.
Congratulations to the cast and crew for delivering a truly golden performance and demonstrating what is possible when leadership, creativity, and collaboration take center stage.
