Pulaski Academy is proud of its long history of active volunteerism throughout the school. Abundant opportunities exist for parents, grandparents, and alumni to share their time and talents and to take an active role in the life of the school. Over 40,000 service hours are donated each year by PA volunteers! Several organizations serve the school in varied and valuable ways:
Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association is open to all parents and guardians of current students. Governed by an executive committee, the association holds monthly meetings and elects officers each spring. The Parents’ Association provides hundreds of volunteers for many school programs and events. The organization hosts teacher appreciation activities throughout the year, and provides volunteers for Books and Bruins. The group also sponsors the annual Endowment Support Auction, coordinates used uniform sales, and engages in many other activities in support of the school. Fine Arts Guild
All parents, grandparents, and other interested parties are invited and encouraged to join and participate in the Fine Arts Guild, which exists to support all areas and levels of the arts at PA, including PA’s art, band, music, and drama programs. Officers are elected annually.
Band Boosters
The Band Boosters provide volunteers and year-round program support for PA’s band program. The Boosters assist at sporting events, concerts, competitions, and other band activities throughout the year. The group sponsors the annual PA Talent Show as a fund raiser and school-wide event for PA students. Officers are elected annually.
Bruin Backers
The Bruin Backers support PA’s athletic program by providing volunteers during sporting events, running the concession stands, raising money for the athletic program, and coordinating athletic activities and events. Membership is open to any PA constituent and requires a small membership fee that enables the member to purchase a season pass. Officers are elected annually.
